Mama’s Tired | Time Management, Overwhelm, Organization, Peace, Patience
Do you wish you had enough time in your day to get everything done? Are you tired of feeling exhausted, overwhelmed, and impatient with your kids? Do you wonder what it would be like to say “no” and prioritize your needs for a change? I am so excited you’re here! This podcast is for the mamas who are doing all the things and running on empty. If you are looking to regain your peace, become a more patient mom, and finally have the time to be fully present with your family instead of worrying about everything that needs to be done, then this show is for you. Hey, I’m Rachel. A wife, child of God, and fellow mama in the trenches. For years, my days felt chaotic, my time felt hijacked, and peace felt like a fantasy. I was living in survival mode, placing my hope in planners and to-do lists. I finally realized that if I was going to have a peaceful home and stop letting the enemy steal my joy and my time, I needed to implement systems to get me there. I created a routine that fits ME and my family. A simple strategy that we could actually stick with. A lifestyle that made managing our time not just doable, but sustainable . And I’m ready to share it with you! Each week, we will talk routines, time hacks, mindset shifts, and real-life ways to bring calm back into your home and heart. Because burnout isn’t the plan. Let’s reset and find the peace you’ve been craving together. Heat up your morning coffee and throw that laundry back in the dryer, my friend. It’s time to jump in.

Feeling stretched thin?
Snapping over little things?
Mentally holding a thousand invisible tasks?
I used to think peace would come when everything was done.
Spoiler alert: it never was.
Peace came when I let go of the guilt, the pressure, and the ‘shoulds.’
Today we’re talking about what to drop — not what to add — so you can make more space for peace, presence, and sanity.

Is your house loud and chaotic? Does your brain spin daily? Does your patience feel paper-thin? If you said yes, then this episode is your exhale.
Nobody talks about why moms get emotionally stuck in the chaos, but we need to normalize it. There is constant overstimulation: the noise, the needs, and the decisions to be made. We try to suppress it and hold it all together because everyone needs us to have it all together until we finally snap and explode. We need a break, but then we feel guilty for taking a break. We believe we just don’t have time to reset.
In this episode, we’re talking small, doable resets that take 5 minutes or less — to help you come back to peace, even when everything else feels loud. This is for the busy, overwhelmed moms who need practical, bite-sized emotional resets they can use anytime — even in the middle of toddler tantrums or work-from-home chaos.

When women come to me to work together on their nutrition, I always end up hearing so many sad stories. These women are living lives where they’ve been skipping meals for years in order to lose weight. When they do eventually end up eating, they are terrified of carbs or eating over the 1,200 calories we've all been conditioned to think is a "magic" number. The nutrition world has come so far, and yet, the bad advice given years ago just won’t seem to go away. When your goal is weight loss, you do need to be mindful of the calories you consume. However, when you aren’t eating enough, your weight loss efforts can be hindered as well. Let’s talk about 3 reasons why you should actually be eating MORE in order to lose weight. In this episode, we cover: Eating more (not less) to lose weight How the restriction of calories can lead to self-sabotage How the right type (not just the amount) of food matters Why adequate calorie consumption is essential for optimal health in all areas LINKS AND RESOURCES MENTIONED IN TODAY’S EPISODE: Join the Feed Yourself Food Club (monthly recipe membership) here! Connect with me on Instagram: @rachelmeigsking MORE ABOUT FEED YOURSELF: HEALTHY HABITS FOR THE MIND, BODY, & SOUL PODCAST: Feed Yourself: Healthy Habits for the Mind, Body, & Soul is all about learning the key components of overall health based on Biblical principles. When most people think about getting in shape and becoming “healthy”, they immediately think about their physical health: losing weight, making exercise a priority, possessing flexibility and endurance, and remaining disease free. But Scripture makes it clear that physical wellness is not the only area that impacts health. In order to be TRULY healthy, we have to focus on four areas: spiritual health, emotional health, mental health, and physical health. This podcast dives deep into the tools and head knowledge you will need in order to create lasting results, but it also looks at the element that truly ties it all together - the heart knowledge that incorporates faith in God in this area of our lives and how to apply it when things get tough (and they will!). I wanted to create a space to let you know you are never alone on this journey. Through years of experience in doing everything the WRONG way, I am here to share my journey of getting healthy from the inside out - ditching the restriction and diet culture and truly learning to treat my body as the temple God intended it to be. Grab a cup of coffee and join me as I discuss healthy habits to incorporate in your daily life to propel you forward and FEED YOURSELF on your journey to health in all areas: mind, body, and soul!

There is a strong correlation between our nutrition and mental health. Unfortunately, the American diet is overloaded with processed foods that can lead to an increased risk of depression, cognitive impairment, and ADHD. On the flip side, a diet that centers around nutritious whole foods can actually help prevent many mental illnesses in most cases. Here are four tips for improving your own mental health through a tried and trusted nutrition approach. In this episode, we cover: How your mental health is closely related to what you eat Ways to ensure adequate physical and mental health Tips to promote overall wellness through nutrition Adequate calorie consumption for brain health LINKS AND RESOURCES MENTIONED IN TODAY’S EPISODE: Join the Feed Yourself Food Club (monthly recipe membership) here!
